Why
I like selling on Ebay
Putting things
on Ebay to sell is exciting. It's fun to get bids, and it's also
fun to meet people online. The things I enjoy selling so far are
books, magazines, toys, collectibles, audio books, CD's, and playing
cards.
10 tips for selling on Ebay:
1. Check and see what things are going for on Ebay. Sometimes just searching for similar things will help you know what to offer items for there. I know I found that some things I wanted to sell weren't really worth the time to sell, and others were worth more than I thought.
2. Make yourself a shipping guide from the USPS site or whatever service you are using. That way, it's easy to look up what your item will cost to ship.
3. Make sure that your item is well-wrapped before you send it.
4. Don't ever sell anything on Ebay that you will really miss. You will probably sell it for less than you would pay for it again and you might regret selling that item.
5. Make a grouping of items. Sometimes this can turn into a collection and be very appealing to a buyer.
6. Spend some time on the Buyer or Seller boards on Ebay. You can learn a lot there.
7. If you find you are selling a lot, consider opening a store. There are many benefits to doing that on Ebay.
8. If you can, attend an Ebay function or event. This can really jumpstart your enthusiasm for Ebay selling, I have heard.
9. Offer a free gift with your item. This can really be a great and fun bonus, and will help your customers remember you.
10. Include a card or flyer in each item when you ship.
Many people are still on Ebay. You can find deals there too. I go there whenever I can. With the current downturn, I feel like it is a slower venue, but then all the venues out there are slower.
What everyone is saying is to be creative - be original, and don't give up. Things are bound to improve soon! (And in the meantime, you can find LOTS of deals on Ebay and other places). |
