Hi
- and welcome. I'm very glad you stopped by today.
About me: I was recently a full-time student
at Western Kentucky University.
I obtained my initial Kentucky Teacher's Certification in English
and Allied Arts.
I
have my own tutoring business now. I also help people with their
computers. You can find out more about my businesses here.
I buy and sell on Ebay and Amazon, and do internet research,
too.
I
also have a Computer Learning page
for Seniors also on this site. It has some links about
learning, travel, and how to cut down on spam. There are
also links there to brush up on your typing skills and
protect your computer against viruses, spam, and more.
Seniors
can connect with each other there, too, plus there are
local and country-wide links there to explore. Let
me know what other links you would like to see there.
More
about me:
I
love to take pictures. I find that Flickr
is the best photo site. (Photobucket
is also good.) They help you organize your photos and
let you see many others.
There
is a Flickr badge on the bottom left of this page that
shows my photos. Just scroll down to see it.
You
can click on it and go to Flickr to get your free account
there. Your photos can be made either public or private
- it is all your choice. You can get even more space
to store your photos is you join the site for money.
While you are at the site, you can also see many other
people's photos. There are some really good ones there.
You can also upload to your blog from the website.
The
Pots Place in downtown Bowling Green is a great place
to buy pottery or to take pottery lessons. It's open now
three times a week.
We
are located at 428 East Main Street in Bowling Green,
Kentucky, just down from the Capital Arts building. We
are open on Wednesdays from 10-2, Saturday from 10-4,
and Fridays from 11:00 - 2:00, or by appointment.
There
are 6 Master Potters' work on display at the Pots Place
Studio and Gallery -- and The Pots Place Studio and Gallery
has ever-changing interesting exhibits, windows, and sales.
The
Pots Place gives pottery lessons, too, on Monday and Tuesday
nights, plus on Saturdays. Just sign up inside the Pots
Place when it is open.
The
store has some very interesting
retro prints from my Grandparents' store "The Collector's
Corner" which used to be in Ellison Bay, Wisconsin.
They are from all over,
and include many styles.
Come
on by and see our great pottery, art prints, and more.
Whether you are an artist, or just appreciate art, we
at the Pots Place look forward to meeting you.
About
selling on Ebay
I have sold and bought playing cards, stamps,
dolls, books, paper dolls, Star Wars figures, boxes, trolls,
figurines, paper dolls, art and more online on Ebay. It
can get really exciting near the end of an auction. I
have tried sniping once using a sniper program, but usually
I just bid on something and see if I win.
I
have just discovered a new website that is really helping
me with my auctions. It is called Auctiva
and I used it a long time ago. I didn't really understand
Ebay that well yet, so it took awhile before I wanted
to try it out again. In September (07) I tried it again,
and after filling out the information (which I must admit,
took awhile...) I now can put things on Ebay so much easier
and quicker. The site is free to use, which even makes
it better.
It
has been really fun learning about selling and what people
collect. I have met some great people online and it's
been very interesting! I have a page about Ebay called
Ebay Tips on this website
where I list some good links and advice about selling.
There are other selling sites listed there that you can
also check out.
Other
Activities:
A
fun club you might know about in Bowling Green is BGAMUG,
the Bowling Green Microcomputer User Group. Their general
meetings are every fourth Thursday.
Their
website is located at bgamug.org.
I have learned so much from the people in this club. They
are great people, and they have very interesting workshops
and speakers for their meetings. They also give free mini-classes,
and information at the meetings. It's free to be a guest
at a meeting, too, and you can decide whether or not to
join after that.
And
Even More about Me:
I
enjoy research on the internet, writing, and gardening.
I also like to go to yard sales, thrift shops, and flea
markets.
I
try to update at least one page of my website every day,
and that makes for a LOT of writing. As far as reading
goes, my library is SO huge I am selling a lot of them
now on Ebay and Amazon in order to make room for new ones.
I
have made a list of some good books here on a page I call
the Bookpage. I plan to spiff
this page up soon. I also have some other pages here about
reading and writing.
I recently finished my first ebook, and
am offering it for free on
this page. It is a book about all the greatest links
to free artwork that I have found in the last few years.
Below
are my online blogs - just
click on the buttons to see them.
