ABOUT TAKING NOTES If you want to do a REALLY good job in class this year, write down what you hear in class -- especially about important assignments -- and then type these notes up later (if you have time). It REALLY helps me a lot in all of my classes. When I was in school, we all took notes all the time. It helped me a lot. It also helps later, before quizzes or tests when you are in college. Your future college professors will expect you to be able to take these kind of notes, so it’s good to practice at it. I will try to post a “How to Take Good Notes” flyer on the class website to have it available when you next go to the computer lab or library computer area. Also check to see if there is a “How to be Organized” area on the Study Hints site. IMPORTANT: You can raise your grade at least one grade point (from a C to a B, from a B to an A) by following the notetaking guidelines and knowing about your personal Learning Style. Good luck! E.
